DJ Equipment - Hook us up?

Ive seen a couple of these threads but thought it would be best to start my own.
Im ready to buy my own equipment now and was wondering if anyone knew of anyone selling any for a good price.

I know my stuff, been practising for ages, and my brother is a DJ so I dont need any help on the technical side. This thread is to see if anyone knows anyone or can hook us up with pretty good equipment for a good price.
Im thinking about buying Senheiser HD-25 headphones, I dont need any help for that. Im just looking for CD players and a mixer.
Im looking to spend up to 3 or 4 grand. Prefferably Pioneers or Denon.
Im not in too much of a rush. By that I mean I can wait about a year, but you never know in that time I could have missed a few good deals.

Please no one post bullshit in here. Post if you can help out.

Goiing to see a guy about 2 vinyl decks and an 8 channel mixxer soon.. pretty cheap,, 1-2 yrs old.. more details sooon.

Getting, Senheiser HD-25 headphones,

Why not try the Senheiser HD-205 headphones out, there just about as good for under $100, i'm very happy and they look good, sound good, and one side flips back!!

Dennon = is more releiable, 4500 cd players + 1500 mixer = $3100 roadcases
Pioneer = easy to knews " 2 x cdj 200 + 800 mixer = $3600 roadcases
then later change over to 1000's!, with same mixer!!

Also the Speakers i'm trying at the moment, powered Phonics 540a, have a look!!

Id prefer brand new. If I buy brand new then im gonna wait and get them next year. This was mainly incase I was missing some good deals that I didnt know about though.

I havnt got them yet, but i will be getting them real soon. Denon DNS 3500 x2and an Xone62, prolly looking at some HD-25 Cans. LOVEJ is the man though for brand new equip.

Nice. I wouldnt mind picking up a couple of DNS 3500's. Im not sure what mixer to get though. Xones are really good I was playing with a couple at factory sound the other day and they are nice. I cant pick between Pioneer and Denon for CD players though. Its not the easiest choice. Ive used cdj 1000s and they pretty good. Never really used Denons but seen them in action a few times and I like them. Also feedback ive got from people is that Denons are a really good decision.

Im definetly getting a pair of the HD 25s. Ive been using them for a while and in my opinion they are alot better than anything else ive tried, which isnt that many though. I can also get a good discount on them.

Oh well. If I buy anything new, im gonna wait until mid next year. I mainly made this thread for anything 2nd hand that people know about.

if your looking at buying HD-25's i can probably get you a really good price, but i'm not willing to discuss it over here, PM with the lowest price you've seen and i'll see what i can do...

James, your already in the correct store, Factory sound are deffinately the best guys to speak to... Speak to darren if possible, i'd say he would have the most real-world dj experience than any of the other guys...

I'd recomend the A&H mixers, i own one, love it, they're very widely used in nightclubs now and people are starting to take notice of them. Very flexible with the 4-band eq's and awesome p&g faders... The djm-800 is nice, like it is a step up on the 600, but for me, it doesn't come close to the feel of a xone... The 800 has the dinky effects, lcd screen and apparantly really good midi controls [questionable] and the xone's use all analog efx and are built really well, even though they are not made in the UK anymore...

At the end of the day kid, look at websites, i know it's a hard decision because there are so many choices out there, im a cdj person, not into the denon's but their equally good players, spend some time searching and researching what you think is best FOR YOU...

When you've got 2 or 3 mixers in your head and 2 or 3 cd players and are ready to buy, send me a message and i'll more than happily let the right people know your coming in to buy and give you my feedback on each of the equipment...

jim, 1 word pioneer for cdj & mixa
1 word for turntable - technics
1 word for headphones - Senniheiser hd25

i got a really good deal on 2 cdj1000mk3 + djm800 + roadcase for 5,400
and ive had my technics for 5 years and paid 780 full loaded each
and hd25 headphones are the best on the market if u can afford it, but if u got th0se....personally go change the muffs on them, they wear easy and are annoying when u perspire

hes right about everything but the mixer,
their are better mixers then pioneer, but pioneer mixers are the industry standard these days.

what i said may have been a generalisation, but thats the mixer i prefer. did prefer the djm600 till i saw the 800.

djm800 was used @ the lush event in the main room.....also @ summerdayze. so many djs other than myself reckon they are the go, but A&H are great too for the sound output they produce which at 1 stage dominated pioneer, but pioneer stepped up to it wif the 800 and 1000 :P

end of the day, it comes down to personal preferrence
