I just want to find out why the metro has gone down hill very baddly.
I don't really know what had happend but i cant get the correct story im kind lost it.

Metro was a very known club back in the "nightskool days", ( I call the days Nightskool because metro was one of the first. )

Every neighbourhood in Melbourne and even Sydney new what Metro was all about and how it was rocking the underage scene.

Its a big atmosphere, so many rooms to party in, you could meet every person from every area haha & most of all, you had to get your hands on some presolds or atleast get there early to avoid dissapointment, it was like a club where everyones a VIP and lots are still out side glareing through those big silver metro doors.

The music selection and djs that was played at metro was amazing and what people went and payed for. I just flicked through some very very very old threads that where created by the organisers, Erol and Morello.

Threads that were so old, the people who posted in them where 18 / 21 years old now, and even people that are still underagers today and are about to hit 18. ( Josie, Ines ect )

What has come to you guys?
80% of the underage people; brothers and sisters went down to the metro and so on, why can't you guys get back into the scene and get metro back up on its feet or your little brothers and sister will never know the meaning of "Metro Underage".

It's sad that something "Big as the metro" has fallen down because of people that didnt apreciate what they had been given.

And also, i know longer can be fucked so ima give you the names i think fucked it for everyone else.

Stages, stages, stages and ahh stages again. Rumours Rumours And umm rumous, Megans and Michaels B day? Have you got to be jokeing?

Wouldnt you rather have // Time @ Metro - Winter White Party?
All you see is the same events repeating in the callander right now, the only good event running is Next and Spank.

Dont you miss the days where you go on Melbourne Underage and check the callander and the events are all to good to be true?
Fluid, Metro, Lush, & so on...

Metro is the last hope you got in having a good event (Nightskool), its still there like the nightskool days, Qbh is Know longer available and everyone is bitching about " I want Qbh back " Well that will never happen because Qbh is know longer the way it use to be.

Metro should come back guys, and if Erol & Morello can make succesfull events up in frakston then metro can't go the way it was @ Nightskool?

Wouldnt you rather have this:.
Lush Mondays // Metro Wednesday and other clubs the other days.

2 Main Nights come back every school holidays and that will shut everyones mouth and never run a club to outstand Metro or Lush.

Your Nightspot is finally back, where do you go - METRO - im bored on a wednesday night, lets go Metro, Or how about a Retro @ Metro night?

Starting from some time, Metro comes back and it will be here on every holidays, 2 events with its name to it, and have all the rooms opening.

If you are saying its hard to pack an event be sure to be wrong, I've seen clubs pack out and you can't get a place like Metro in the CBD packed.

Get Metro back in the scene and i Garuntee you, once its back up and running you wont forget this Thread.

Time @ Metro Should come back and i wont stop fighting.



Its bad to see something Really big that youse to pull 2000 people crowds each event and also run events on a school night ( Uniform night) and pull the big numbers.

Well these events would still be running if a a "Certian" group of people didnt throw a bottle a security. After that particular event, every underage was closed etc. etc etc.. as we have all heard before. Um for QBH i think i was a matter for money the owner of the venue simply wanted more money. And plus with prices of things increasing so much so quickly for example nightschool used to be 22 and the last event run was as high as 28 if i member. That's a big rise in price. Like some might say that its only a pack of smokes but let be serious how many underages kids actually work. Like u have to give some kids credit, there not just going to throw money away after they have earned it correct. As for these little events that run around melbourne there are some that are goin to do really well, such a spank in thornbury and there are others that wont. Then again it also depends wat people like. For the first time i saw a live band at 21st in frankston, attracting a totaly different crowd, where as the rest were dancing away to dirty south.

Neways to some things up bad people and the increase in costs in my opinion are the things to blame.

Metro will be the same prices if it returns to the Melbourne Underage scene.

And Melbourne Underage will be the first to know.

Same prices, bigger acts like before and so on, if we get every peson to spread the word and get it out there then bloody oathh it will go nuts.

Im posting on behalf of the people that tell me, why .... metro....

So No dont get over it, Been there and done that with fluid, should we get over that too? No! Because thats now a super-club.

Metro still has a chance, why can you just let this slide away, should you help get it back and once its finally back you feel like a hero?

Remember how Zos Overage was out and it was hard to get into and it was a big place to be?

Metro Was once that and Erol & Morello once gave that, and you have no FCUKING idea how much effort it is for something like METRO.

Because my next event has **** loads to do and im trying to bring it out but things are always holding me back, & my event is ten times smaller..

Jem / You know exactly how metro worked, You honestly cant just let this slide away with all the troubles they boys have done.

And for future posts, dont just say... "Its only Underage" But its a night to go out and have some fun with your on group aged boys and girls.

Same with Overage im saying it now " Pftt its only overage"

My theory is quite simple also, much like Emad.

It will never be the same, unless God came down from the heavens and said
"let there be a club that doesnt attract so many sikunts to it"

Metro was the BOMB back in the day and there is not one other underage that i can think of that matched the anticipation, atmosphere and enjoyment that Metro presented. But thinking back, too many "broteks" as I like to call them....ruined that club.

I liked the metro when Josh was still doin a set upstairs... and there was a much friendlier crowd. It's pretty hard to attract the friendlier crowd again, since they've all been turned off by the brotek crowd.

yeah your right maurice, i went to one of those Metros when i just turned 14 :P and was that one of the best nights of my life. There has not been an underage ran in melbourne (except Qbh which i never went too) better than those old day metros! Id love to see an event like that happen again... Its good to see someones behind it!!! all i say is i hope someone brings that fever back in touch!

But i always membered metro as being the uniting of the biggest sickunts in melb. When 1600 kids were packing into it, guarateed that 1000 of were girls or guys who though that their **** didnt stink and would bump into you and say wtf u wanna punch on. Fine example to this how many fights were there outside after every event. So pretty much where ever u go your always goin to get heros. so using that as a excuse Is good, but it cant always be the number one factor.

well yeah theres always something wrong! but not everything can be perfect! it still had the vibe and it still killed it and it brought excitement to the night... to be honest i never get the thrill off having a exciting night at an underage anymore... but i hope somehow it will come back

And Metro always had sik-unts, but don't put that to it, i didnt like those sikunts yet i had the best nights @ metro...


Also, Metro can make a come back, and im 100% Metro can, If not the old school then atleast metro is back.

The very first Metro Underage, did people stop to think after the event had finished, this was no way near the old metro? Wait... There was no Metro. lol

Here we start Metro and it will pick up.

Also, Metro is still a Venue, Cant be screwed around because the Underage people reffured it as Metro not time. So basically people Love The Venue.

Not every person are overage that was attending the Metro days, Emad is still Underage, i was always going, friends from school went... So its not hard to get afew of the people down there!

You guys arnt believing in this, your believing the stuff that people say about the past events, thats not good to put on Metro..

There was always new people attending each event, even people came down from sydney to go..
You get half the crowd is new each event, the other half is the regualrs..

Half of the regulars can attend, beau, me, ines ect.. the new crowd @ nightskool (yrs back) are still underage put that all together and thats already 50% of the metro crowd.. then the rest will always be new people attending. Name 1 event you get with every person attending and not 1 new person attends...

I agree, the days we use to rock it there were awesome....if you read my post i said

Therefore, i rate it as an underage....but i rate it as it was back THEN. Not now.

I went to the last two events that they did and those events were nothing compared to the old days and when i mean nothing, i mean nothing! There were no more than 200 people or so in there compared to the over 800 events they use to pull back in the day. Sure, the whole "sikunts" issue is NOT the number one factor but hey, it does contribute to the fact that nobody really wanted to go anymore because they were fed up with people who refused to shower for days, stunk like a train station toilet and hit on any girl they saw with tits bigger than a fist and an ass which said 'hey come and get me babe'.

Not my kind of club sorry.

yeah i 2nd it, metro was GREAT back in the day, even though i did enjoy the time series over the summer holidays, it just wasn't the same. It was a whole new crowd and only once did we make it over a 1000 people.. i think? anyway it's true you can never make it to be how like it was, it's over with, it's died. Maurice accept the fact that the old underage scene will never come back!

Hell yeh the january series were different and way much much more smaller capacity then the days were pulling.
Know matter how many sikkunts there was people always attended, yeh i know people dont go anymore because you think Metro = Sikents but, if that 6 month ban did nt happen then nothign would be fucked or would it?

Since **** is pritty much messed up and its been a while now tell me this,

The first day you ever went to the Metro, Did you just fit in just like that? the first time you ever saw what a rave was (rave we call it) did you jump in the circle and start raving like them or going spastic and jumping round like we did lol. "No" Afew events later we did, and we saw that from the people that always went.

As what my point was to my previous post, there are still regulars that are underage and can still make a difference and put metro back together again.
These refulars i sometime see at clubs that turn them off, even some that tell me, "man i miss Metro"

Even tho it wont shape into what im trying to tell you guys, at least Mmetro will be back, remember April House Series.

It was difference but at leats metro was back and jamed up the whole venue.. With the most finestt and heaps of class i have ever seen at an underage, and that underage was at Metro...

What do you think when you here Merto... and you get that sorta crowd.

Maurice, just face facts. Metro's gone. New ownership of the venue, who are asking for a **** load of money. And after the last series, i dont even know if the new management are interested in running an underage. The days of when Morello, Erol & Joe ran the clubs, are well and truly over. Infact, the closest thing your going to get to Time @ Metro today is Next @ 21st Century, until somebody does something about it. This discussion is pointless.

Maurice, we all want it back to how it was who dosnt, but this thread isnt gonna do much to bring it back

Discussion doesnt bring back clubs that have had their day, especially in the way Metro has. They have had their time and they sure did deliver, but that is not going to return. Emad's post is spot on.

Emad, Know one needs to know anything about who the new venue owners are and how much they want... all they need to know is event details so dont put that in peoples minds. This siddcusion issnt pointless i didnt open this thread and then by tomorrow Metro is back on...

Metro can come back, didnt the last post i made make any sence?

And if its not the same for the first 3, 4 events Metro will pull through, and if not the same we start the once again.
