A girl allegedly assaulted by a gang of teenage boys who captured the attack on video has given a statement to police.

A police spokesman today confirmed the teenage girl had attended Werribee police station, where she gave a provided a statement on the alleged assault to officers.

The graphic film, parts of which were aired last night on Channel Seven's Today Tonight, reportedly shows the semi-naked girl — who has a mild developmental delay — performing sexual acts on a gang of up to 12 youths who then set her hair on fire and urinate on her.

I can imagine some 12 year old wigga saying that, trying to act all tough infront of his mates.

mmm, i believe the media coverage has deffinately inflated this story, living in that part of the state right now, a few people have told me some realistic accounts of what actually happened...

As per all news events there are normally two sides of the story and while one side is clearly wrong in what happened the other side was never as innocent as portrayed...

That said, never thought life could get as low as this...
