As a guy that runs events, all events places for underages they tell you that you must knews there security, when running the underages, you don't leave much to chance, you ask about, lighting & sound, venue access, bla bla, book it!, call up the dj's you trust asap, get cards ready, pump it hard!!!

but the first person you come accross at most venue's is the security first, and you live in hope the security are nice, yes be nice!!, say you get a 7/10, for the underage, but it would of been 10/10 is the security didn't have a pre-idea that every underage person is going to start world war 3.

The venue was less than a hundred people off full capacity... considering there were yr 10, 11 & 12 exams on aswel as the Peninsula Races (apparently 12,000 people attending).... that was far better than expected for a suburb underage. just thought i'd let you know.

Back to the topic though. Congrats to the boys @ L3, i heard there were a fair few people down there. Keep up the good work. ;)

L3 was 5/10. Sound system was like my ten watt computer speakers. Vibe was dodgy and there were all these lebs jumping around chanting at one point. I saw quite a few muers, not many that I hadn't previously seen though.

Hey guys,
Firstly, as if a dj is going to let a song play out while he is still "deciding" what to play. If anything, there would have been technical difficulties. The equipment at L3 wasnt exactly the best.
Secondly, as for the smoking thing. You guys say how stupid it is because people will smoke behind the backs of the organisers and security. Well, not without smokes they can't. It is a LAW that no underage patron smoke at an UNDERAGE event. Doesnt get easier than that. It is a fine of $600 on the spot for the organiser if he/she can't prove that they didnt do anything to stop it. Smokes were taken off everyone because it was the only way.
Thirdly the only real fight that happened on the night happened outside the doors.
My point is simple. You guys are going to complain about something no matter how any event goes. But at the very least you guys should have the common courtesy to be to be polite with the wordings and not insulting.
As for L3, the way I see it, the organisers done everything right. Security lights & sound were all from the venue.

And also the guy above me, I agree with you on the smoking thing, and people should be understanding of that law, because really, it is illegal to be smoking as an underage person... But why isn't this being done at every underage?

Hahaha. there was no music because Joe Sofo swapped the entire dj console over as the one that they have in there is sh*t (hence the tracks jumping during the first hour).

theres no law that prohibits certain ages from smoking, because other people above that age of discretion might be encouraged to smoke. Theres an implied right to smoke somewhere i forget though

Once again the very few who claim to know everything have gone off on their own tangents in attempt to explain everything.
http://www.health.vic.gov.au/tobaccoreforms/downloads/underage_events_factsheet.pdf is the link that will leave no question unanswered about smoking at underage events. I never said underagers can't smoke. They can't smoke at underage events. Just like how you can't smoke at a bus stop shelter now.
As for why isnt this happening across the whole board with all underage events, thats a question for Liquor Licensing (who are "currently" the authority on underage events at licensed venues).
Rest assured though, a new system is coming.
