Smoking bans may threaten pubs', clubs' licences

PUBS and clubs could be forced to create outdoor areas for smokers from July 1 next year, following a controversial ruling by the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal.

So what do you guys think? The ban is soon approaching, do you think everyone will just quit smoking, or will we be seeing people sprawled all over the pavement outside clubs?

I think that a similar thing should be done for what restaurants used to have
a smoking and non smoking area
Personally I think that would be the best option, but an outside area is good
I smoke and I think its not bad to have an outside area to smoke such as Eve infact I like it alot more

Im a smoker and if smoking was completely banned in clubs/pubs i would NOT stop smoking, id stop going out instead. I went to eve last night for the first time and was unaware of the non-smoking policy. I sparked up on the dance floor and as soon as i did some punce grabbed it out of my hand and butted it out on his shoe. I did not go outside to smoke. I left instead. Its funny that they are so harsh on smokers, when 90% of the ppl there were f***ed off their head on drugs.

As a non-smoker the sooner the laws come in the better! Nothing worse then getting ash on you while dancing because some retarded drunk decided to light up while on the dance floor.
