I've benn to Rumours before i don't see what's so bad about it..you guys always complain about it, what is it that you's don't like about it?

hmm your a young user look u might not see it now but u will understand in time what is so wrong with it. it is all to do with ethics and the fact that u dont steal a venue (caseys) for an event (rumours) from the Mangers of (Fluid). And you must also pay your promters properly which one such person i am not going to name name u know who u r does not do.

Let see you can go to Seduction which is sure to be better crowd wise host wise as well as Dj wise compared with the crap they force upon you at Rumours.
The only thing they have on Seduktionis the venue which is lovly:)
Infact people purposfully put events on Fridays so that people dont have to go to rumours. Go to that big brother party instead. Go to Charisma, its $10 and they ahve cool Dj's

You may think everything is **** but nothing is as **** as rumours, you just havent tried good **** yet. Remember that.

Pro - Your not at rumours, its free as long as you dont go to hospital
Con - It hurts
You could do damage to yourself
It might break the wall or get it dirty which would mean cleaning.
Now lets see the Pro's and cons of Rumours
Pro- there is loud music
there are women
Con - It hurts
you might want to do damage to yourself in order to leave
A man called Mike Jones is there, there is a rumour he likes little boys.
It costs money
Your clothes will get dirty you have to wash them

Lets just say that caseys is a great venue dont get me wrong but with the people who run rumours there the style and vibe of it all is ****. the sooner fluid comes bac the better. lets bring bac the good old days wen events where run properly like fresh, fluid, metro etc.

rumours isnt the best underagearound, but if you want a great venue, good music (i didnt SAY THE BEST MUSIC) and a friendly vibe then rumours is good. For me personally its nice and close, and since I went to fluid all the time, i guess i go to rumours now coz ive been accustomed to the venue and know some people that go there.

Of course there are better underages out there... not clubs.. coz the venue itself is awsome... it just the event itself that lacks compared to other underages such as Lush or whatever.

Its a great place for the younger clubbers, i mean 2 years ago i would love it, its comfortable for a kid to be cocky no "older bullies"...

Good COMMERCIAL top 40....its good for kids its like a really loud radio:)

Cheap if you go early, NOT if you go after the Happy hour...

All in all a great place if your aged between; 12-15

first its the music.

thirdly, they have enough people to fit 1/4 of the place, i meen seriously the place only starts to get people at 8)
the atmosphere is horrible. i hate it.

he was msgin me and my friend emma for over 6 monthes n he also called us every thursday for over 2 months askin us if we were goin rumours..we used to get so pissed off but we were nice about it makin up stuff like-o i have a funeral..o i cant i have to work..bla bla bla

I personally dont think there is anything too wrong with rumours itself , its not too bad if on a friday early night you dont have much to do you can just jump down to caseys, if you have a spare $17 (unless you get there later). However its the "politcs" behind rumours i think that has given rumours the "name" that it has , and i agree once an event is there to challenge it the crowd may change.

At least when Fluid was on, it was guaranteed that promoters get paid well for their efforts if they get the amount to be eligable for pay. Plus they got incentives for doing well every event like free's and sometimes expensive prizes as opposed to Rumours who like charge their promoters to get in and dont really pay any of them, they have more promoters then patrons attending and also do dodgey things and don't pay their promoters.

Afterall without promoters there would not be people attending the club. Ari if you feel that a club is dodgeing your brother out of money then get him to promote for a more respectfull one (there is plenty to choose from).

I was at rumours last night. Me and a few mates where gnna go to the city, but decided to check out the line at rumours. We got there at about 7/7:30, and i gotta say they did have a decent line out front.

We decided to line up and go to rumours. My god one of the worst mistakes ever. Once we got in we went for a little walk around the place to get into the vibe. Main room dance floor was pretty packed, mainly with circles and ravers that literally knockd you out to create a god damn circle. Seriosli Phil Ross played way better sets at fluid. The music in the main room last night was disapointing, he played all these hard trance songs that my dad use to rave to when he was a clubber. I thought the mixing was ****, its as if the dj swaped from deck A to deck B with a flick of a button. At some points i did hear some good house/electro. But for the 3 hours i was at rumours, i probably danced for an hour max. The vibe was non-existant. Me and my friends swore we would never go to rumours again.

After the event Mike was having a go at few guys for promoting seduktion and spank. I gotta say those guys were pretty funny. He also had a go at people promoting Suga. They were actually doing people a favor, giving them an option to go somewhere else.

Crowd was pretty lame, not all, but most of the guys there were tryhard muztek wannabes, and atleast half of the girls were slappers.

1 star out of 5, and thats cauz i drank probli a litre of coke for free. Where was my redbull?

Well i went to Rumours last night and i will give my honest opinion about it. Turned up at 7.00pm, a small line out the front, Once inside all Rooms were packed to the max, Tours awsome as always, DJ Brad was preety ****, Try and get onto the dance floor and you get crushed with people trying to make a circle then, which none of them do anything and the ones who do something get pushed out, Phill Ross wasnt that good either, didnt get to check out the other rooms but they were packed. People were saying it was a full house? if not say so. It finished at 9.50, and know one was happy so they chanted you are a wanka at the DJ and through glowsticks at him. Lots of chants through the night with Lebanon, Broady Boyz and Ringwood all i could do is laugh at them and finnaly once leaving everyone rushed to the stairs and people were pushing so everyone got crushed going down the stairs.

thanks for your comments on fresh, and the underage at Moorabbin town hall, were basically one off parties, or two, but not ongoing underages!!
they were crazy, just the sound system put in by Pro Light and Sound, was totally crazy, eg. i was standing in the car park 2 levels down from main room and the uprites holding the building up were shaking from bass!!

At the same time, there was a lot of raves at the docklands sheds, well i asked (dj Papa) one of the dj's that played at both told me that Moorabbin town hall was louder than the raves!!

look i love hard trance, hardstyle and happy hardcore. but realisticaly looking at it, not everybody our age wants that. and believe me theres nothing more then i would love for an underage that does play it. also not all of us can get into overages. keeping that in mind, rumours varies the music between house and trance. and yere its old, but hey, its better then nothing. its also easy to get to. which is why youll find that most of the underage shufflers go there, and there are some good shufflers that go. but hey, if you find me an underage that plays all hard trance and hardstyle then hell id go there anyday. but yere the security on entry seems to be a bit lax, i'v seen heeps of people there that are quite obviously over 18.

They think were over age because of our height and were not. But i have seen afew old creepy men there.. and we're like why are they here! freaks.

I have to agree on both arguments . Me being the friend dakota is talking about , it does get extremly annoying when you are continually asked if you are overage because of your height(im only 5,11 lol) , because tell me what overage person would go to a underage unless of course involved with the event .

I also have to agree that zombie nation does get annoying , and its quite ovbious that it gets the crowd pumped however when it gets play in excess of over 3 times , it does your head in .

However as i have stated before , different underages are for different people and its really whatever floats your boat . If you enjoy Rumours then thats fantastic , go . If not then its your choice to rock up or not . There really is no need to put it down in the way that people do .

I went past Caseys Friday night, for a reason... And i saw what was the UGLIEST bunch of Underage kids i have ever seen in my life. On the train back home my mates spoke to a girl who went and she was 11 Years old. Gosh.. i cant believe parents let there kids travel on trains at that age.

everybody wants money, the more money the better, a bunch of 11 year olds r willing to give money away, mike is willing to take it. sure the club isnt classy, and its not my ides of fun however the 11 year olds are happy, there are lots of them = more money= mikes satisfaction. so the reason rumours is considered bad is because there is a definate crowd problem but this is only because money is the prime focus. obviously money is lost when restrictions on people are made. i understand where everyone is coming from, and i understand there is resent because Rumours is now at Caseys, the old home of Fluid, which was known for a classy crowd, however if you don't want to go there then don't. the club is perfect for little kids or sleazy guys that want to pick up the supre teenyboppers. these crowds of people like rumours, so let them be. if you are not in this crowd i would advise against going. rumours like many other things are a club only concerned with profit, which is fair enough i guess.. so maybe give them a break?

He isnt worth hitting. Period.

Adil, theres nothing wrong with making money. But if your going to run an event at least run it properly and without the intentions of cashing in. A Decent event, would have more then 2 **** DJ's and proper DJ's who actually know how to play and they wouldnt allow 11 year olds kids in.

Sure, Rumours get's it's number but mostly trouble makers and theres always fights there. But Mike dosnt care abuot anything that could potentially **** up the scene because he's making money.

Do you see my point? Running an underage shouldnt be about making money, Sure you need money and you need to make a cut thats tottally acceptable that's Business, but at least run it for the youth. And run it properly.
