Ultimate Fighting Championship = UFC.

Been watching UFC alot lately, watch youtube fights and just downloaded season 1 of ultimate fighter from torrents, can't wait for UFC 62, liddel VS sobral would be fucking insane cause sobral is one of the best tacklers I've ever seen and liddel is known for countering tackles, going to be an awesome fight then UFC 63 is Liddel VS WANDERLEI FUCKING SYLVA BITCHES if Liddel wins against Sobral, I want him to win just to see him fight Sylvia, awesome 2.

Pride is good, but I hate how you can kick people while they're on the ground, thats just retarded, but I love their openweight competitions.

BJJ is awesome, it works. It may not be the best way to watch a fight cause it might be boring but it gets the job done, Royce Gracie became one of hte greatest UFC fighters cause of his BJJ, earning the Gracie Ju Jitsu straight 400 wins 0 losses in any competition in the past.

in the ring it works , but go on the street and try to punchon with more then 1 person and youle c wot will happen ,

oh and most people he versers are mixed martial artist who are also traing in wrestling or some sort of ground sport , but it might be effective , but its fukn gay **** , as if on the street ur going to do a arm bar , u want to smack the **** out with ur fist and get the fuk out of there b4 the cops rok up or some1 else jumps in , why the **** would u want to be on the ground

sorry for being angry , but there are alot of BJJ fighters at my kikboxing and they are anoying , they dont no how to punch or elbow or kick or knee and they think there sickunts who can take any1 out , yet i see them on the ground moaning with other guys not really doing alot , sorta looking like two slugs fucking ....why dont with BJJ they teach u how to punch and take some1 down and punch them or elbow em , them waiste time we sudmisions

This aint a thread to bag BJJ but I'll humour you. In a street fight it isn't about winning, maybe to you anyway, but whenever I've been in fights it was about survival, and tackles always happen, every fight I've been in or seen or been apart of tackles always happen, that is the best way to take control of the fight and end it quick, ground and pound or break an arm, fine in street fighting trying to submit the person is retarded but I would still do it if I was taken to the ground and couldn't get out and couldn't get a punch in and all I had was submissions to use. Kickboxing is good no doubt, I love it. Chuck Liddel is one of the best UFC fighters out there cause of his kickboxing abilities. But many strikers have gone down to the powers of good BJJ fighters like Royce Gracie, he is a legend now in the octagon. But the real art is mixing it up, being able to fight stand up and on the ground. Personally if I felt my opponent in a street fight was stronger than me I would go for a tackle, a slug fest would be pointless cause he would dominate easily, a tackle gives me a chance to atleast bring him down and gain control for a bit. So BJJ is actually pretty useful.

Anyway, enough bagging of any sports. We talking UFC :D
