Chocolate Factory Review

Ohk, my review...

well i got there around 3 ish, just had to finalize a few things and that... there were ALREADY people waiting out the front.. Now, with three [3] underage's on in the same night that is quiet an achievement i thought.. You could already see the vibe in their eyes..

By 4 o'clock.. when the place opened in flooded around a 100 odd people ready for what was ahead.. Typically i opened up the main room with some soulful tunes and dropped in a few tracks that may not have worked although the reception was pretty decent. Give the crowd some smooth vocals and the crowd loved it. By 10 or 20 past 4 the main room was really starting to fill up there was little to no dead space in the room at all.. By about 4:35 the main room was FULL, not over-crowded 'full house' styles but comfortably full.. It was such a great crowd in there, towards the end of my set i turned it up a little while still maintaing that soulful feel to it and the crowd reacted accordingly.. I thought i'd never see an underage venue dancing to these kinda tunes.. guess i was wrong...

On came first timer, danny.. Hats off to him as it was his first time in a nightclub and for a newb did pretty good.. The crowd also reacted to his style of commercial electro, the place was buzzing..

I think at one stage between 5 and 6 there was more people in the dj booth then serving behind the bars, it was like a mini dancefloor to those ' in the know' and i think around 3 different people played during that time, all adding their unique style to the mix..

The arrival of Seany B and subsequent dj change with Adam Bartas taking the 'wheels of steel' saw a quiet impressive performance.. Bartas worked extremely well with seany right by his side.. I was a little bit aprehensive about what Bartas' set would hold after most of the bombs had already been played but keeping to the 'dubs' and letting Seany do his thing lifted the roof... The Live remix of flaunt it was obvisouly a crowd favourite with a few Mu-ers taking up the front row of the dancefloor..

Unfortunately for unforeseen reasons i had to leave Platform 1 at this time... I'm sure someone will fill you in on the rest of the night later on tongiht or tomoz...

I was quiet impressed with what chocolate factory produced.. With an underage on less a km away being hyped as a massive event it was good to see a crowd of this nature turn out..

It was good to meet a few of you from around here.. lil bro, lilmissmaco,narcissist,bkclubba finally get to put a face to these nicknames..

Cant wait for what's in store for the next chocolate factory the results from today speak wonders about what you can achieve if you put your mind to it..

I went to chocolate facotry even though I wasn't planing on going and I am very glad I did.
Erol put on a quality event, and you can say what ever you want about his style or what your opinon is of him but he put on a rocking event last night with a mint crowd and beat every other underage that was on.

I met up wtih Josie she insisted on me coming to see her, and even though I had school books on me i decided to cruze down and leave at 6 coz i had an 18th.

Basically this event had a 1:1 maybe 3:2 girl to guy ratio all dressed in the latest fashion and all happily dancing. There were a few sick cunts who kept taking up the circles but when stevie B came on I went nuts he was off thehook. I didn't want to miss him so i stayed untill 6 30 but it was well worth it. I havn't gotten on a natural high like that for a long time and I'm sure that people who saw me dancing on the front podium can confirm that. :P:P

Seany B is easily the best Australian act I have seen at an underage.

I left astright after Flaunt it and from the time I was there to the time I left I give it a 9/10

My night was unreal and doctor danny....seany b was NOT the only good thing about it - clearly you wern't looking around you because the girls were TOO fine in there :) Oh and i couldnt believe the quality of the music, it was just exactly what people needed to be exposed to....beautiful. And papa smurf did his share to play some trance for the ravers last night :D

Erol, by far the next best event after the first ever choco :D great work mate as usual!

CHOCOLATE FACTORY WENT OFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF! oh; seriously one of my best events. i danced so hard, my feet still hurt. I met BEAU ^_^ ; hee gave me a hug =]. Some girls and i made good friends with the security guards and got to skip the big line and go straight to the front :). Ahh; some ups and downs for me, personal reasons but pwoah; the night was so good. it took alot of convincing to bring my friends to choco instead of charisma, but FINALY GOT THEM TO SEE THE LIGHT. aha

The music was fkiink awesome; they repeated "flaunt it" and "no more conversations" alot, but it was all good as those songs GO OFF!

Danny ended up playing from 5 till 5:30 i think.. As i said earlier, he did pretty good for a first timer..

My only criticism is that he needed to realise what spot he was playing.. As the underage went from 4 till 10.. you really need to be pushing it harder around 6-7 then really bring it home banging from then on..

He was warming up for adam bartas and seany b.. Now this is a very tricky situation as you need to get the crowd pumping for the big boys to take over but you CANT be playing any of the 'bomb' tracks.. Probably would of suited better if he had stuck to some funky commercial house [mrT, soulavengers, axwell, inaya etc] and let bartas hit them hard with the electro stuff.. I guess thats just a part of a steep learning curve and think everyone in their dj career has burned a dj here and there... but hey, you learn from it..

MY REVIEW-
i rocked up at bout 3.30ish and sold a few last minute tickets....i was excited as there was a decent crowd already accumulating oout the front yet many of the regulars didnt seem to have arrived.
i probabaly got inside at about 4.30ish and was happy to see that people were already rocken to the sweet as tunes of James Love (i said hello to you but who knows if you realised it was me and not just some random). i wasnt a happy chappy to begin with because i was waiting for a couple more of the girls to rock up and pay me for there tickets but once that got sorted out the night was awesome!
personally my favourite set was played by dannie, a know his a newbie but he definetly got me rocken! so congrats!!!
i was wrapped to see heaps of the old crew from fluid such as jem,beau,paulie,pat,corey,steve etcetc
as the crowd grew the side part of the venue was opened which totally made my night as it was colder and gave you more of a chance to mingle!unfortunately they closed it at about 9ish.
i was wrapped to see the lil tackers from the last event who are tight with one of the security guards...they are like only 13 and oh so cute lol (i probably terrified them when i came up to greet them)
its was awesome as to see Josie up on the stage going nuts during papa's set! even though she probably thought me and louie were laughing at her.
and yes fellas i was very impressed by the turn out :P and pwoah the competition was fierce!
seany B was as sexy as ever and if you were unfortunate enough to miss his set all i can say is SUFFER heheheh!!! far out his her talented or WHAT! and ohhh his voice is oh so sexy!
as i told you erol thanks heaps for a good night!!! i'm with you all the way!!!i think once and for all last night proved to all you critics that chocolate factory is here to STAY!

last night was pretty good, my first time in there an i didnt go near the middle section of the main floor coz it was nothing but sweating bodies packed too closely together in a really tiny closed-in space... any claustrophobia sufferers would agree with me. but avoiding that area all night was a good idea, turned out to have a great night, seany b the highlight of course, that mans voice is sex! wow wat a legend flaunt it being one of the best house songs in history. we made friends with some....interesting people... the best would be the guys at the end of the night, its weird how we always meet people from our area, an we dont even know it b4 we start chatting. always! we must all be drawn 2getha. anyways im straying from the topic, the night was great, we nearly got persuaded into goin to next blue, but we thought that place isnt havin seanyb, so that was our end decision an we're very glad we decided on that. the music was good all night, an the djs who repeated sum of the songs, itwas ok coz they were the popular ones an they should be played a couple of times coz everyone goes off. all in all very glad i went after some doubts, turned out to be great! 8/10

i personally, had loads of fun! great turn out to this event, the fashion stakes amongst the crowd were awesome and the dj's and mc kept rockin' the crowd!

i thought all the dj's played extemely well but my special shout out goes to mikey p. especially when he dropped my favourite track "back together" by hardsoul feat. ron carrol.

porno steve (photographer) ran around all night taking some great snaps. just wait till you see some of these shots...

To all the doubters previously, should by now know that chocolate factory rocks and is here to stay! get used to it :)

in saying that it was an event i worked on very hard. In the previous two event i had alot of things against but with everyones support and my own hard work i pulled through with this one and like you said achieved the result i wanted...

guys, stick with me, i am a man of my word and there is still a **** load more to come from chocolate factory. everything will be announced very soon.

as for photos there were over 300 taken on the night and ive just come back from a few days away so it will take me most of tonight to sort through them all and get them up on the site...
