CHEFAI VLT *New Pics*

Hey guys,
About a month ago i got myself a 86 SL VL Turbo. The first of the VLTs with the RB30. Hasnt got much work done to it: Stage 2 Avo Cooler, 3Inch Exhaust, POD Filter, Bleed Valve (10 PSI), Boost Guage, Oil Catch Can, Dumped on Pedder Suspension, VR Acclaim Hubbies and Sports steering wheel.

I got a few plans for the car which will include Re-Built motor, Bigger turbo, Plenum, Chip computer, Rims, Spray and Sound system.

Man either that Vl has been thrashed, or you are the one thrashing it, because any vl that has stockies on the back, and normal mags on the front either goes sttuuuttuuutttuuu and has a huge turbo in it, or it is a major burnout car, tjhat's the way they all r, all you need now is 2 spare tyres and 2 new rims, and your car will be lookin mad :), btw how much did you buy it for?

Umm...what exactly are we looking at exactly? Just looks like a fairly stock VL. Am i missing something?

Well anyway, on the topic of cars, i went to look for my first car today and i'm going to buy it. It's a BMW 520i E30. It's costing me $3500, which is fairly cheap for the condition it's in, only 170 thousand km's, brand new tyres, nothing mechanicaly wrong with the car, roadworthy, rego for 10months, air con, central locking, etc, etc. Others of similllar condition are going for arround $4500-5000 mark.

I'll post up pics once i get the car, which will probably be on the weekend sometime.

Thanks for comments guys!! Tekaz boy...ever since i purchased the car about a month ago it has been rolling on VR Acclaim Hubbies all around. Today i just took off the rear hubbies, Degreaded the interceptors, cleaned them, put tire shine on them and put chrome wheel nuts on them. Obveously every VL has been thrashed...as every car in the world has. Even my mums 82 XD has been.

I give the car a squirt but not often, because im scared of the car, even thought its running on 10psi as soon as the T3 kicks in ur flying!! On Saturday i got my new auto done, i dragged a VL 5L and killed him and i was wheel spinning for all of 1st and half fru 2nd gear.

Nate, Your looking at a sleeper....Its debadged. The prevous owner didnt want attention. Even my cooler is black and EPA legal. Goodluck with everything for your car champ...I remember the first time i went to look for my first car i was 15 turning 16. Since then ive had a Gemini, 5spd VR and now a VL Turbo.

Nice vl dude my favourite car lol apart from some other classic but yeah ne 1 that knwos me would tell you im vl crazy but why o why didnt you buy a calais lol ? doesnt matter either way vls are vls and they are all sick !! cant wait for some picks when your done doing what you do to it lol

Von, Thanks for the comments bro. The reason i bought this instead of a Calais, I didnt have time to look and it come to me first. Ive always liked the Commodores though. Im putting series 2 calais interior and rear garnish/lights on though. Im crazy about VL's too i cant get enough of them!! I cant wait till im done lol when im done im going to keep it for a while then start another project. But i will never stop the VL because im wanting quick times in it.

Fucking sweet my cousins canary yellow vl calais runs 9.8 its orite but yeah i love vls and cant wait to get 1 of my own but i do ave the choice of choosing a vl or a VY S SUPERCHARGED so i dont no wat to get ide rather get the newer VY but i luv my vls so its guna b hard lol

the car look mad, once ur done it will be sick. i know a guy who had a vl for a while now he finally finished it and its sick. ull proablly seen it on chapel. its red and silver, old skool 21" rims, its loud, its got a 3" exhaust. he is always driving with the white vt with lions on it. the vt he awlays drives with is tezinu. just a few things unless u spray the car urself it will cost a few grand. i got quoted 7 grand to spray my car the yellow the monaro has. and to rebuild a block it costs 4 grand. thats how much it cose me to rebuild my 350 chev block. one tip to everyone dont do an engine conversion it costs way to much. i got a 350 chev put into mine and it cost around 10 grand cuz i knew the guy so i payed just for parts. if you get someone u dont know to do it ull be paying around 18 grand. and this was for a carbie 350. if i wanted a full injected i might aswell have reconnect the old v12.

yes CHEFAI are my plates....as in my avatar lol. They will be going onto the car. TEZNU is a sick VT i love it!!! Some nice VL's out there these days. I love the car...look Tekazboy VL's arent everyones cuppa tea and isnt anything special at the moment but it still gets a party in my pants :P

yea ive seen pazzo-1, my mate have pazzo and malato. and u ever seen the plate number "wog boy"? i know the guy who has it. i think his 19 now, but he bought it back in the day like the second he say the mvoie he got them. i dunno what car he ahs them on now. he use to have it on some old skool holden which was worked in every way posible.

Na man stick a sik super sequential BOV on it.. My friends got a auto vl turbo and that BOV is loud as ****.. all u need to do is revv up and let go of accel.. lol thats if u want ur car to sound sik but yeh.. draws too much attention

Makes me go crazy, and if people actualii put in the time and effort..oh yes and the money, vls can be made into very sexy cars. The only skylines i love are the r34 GTRs, i love WRXs, especially the newer models. Not the ones with the round ' bug eye ' lights though.

You know you can make basically any turbo car flutter? plus its bad for your turbo anyway.
