where did this culture of doing all this **** with their cousins, how did it come about. im not close to my cousins at all, and i dont give toomuch of a crap about em either. is it just a thing with greeks and italians and lebanese people. This thread is not about descrimination MOderators.

i think it just because if your close to your family and you got cousins your age or around your age of course your going to become mates with them....ive always been mates with my cousins and i love hanging out with them and all that.

umm its not just with greek lebo and italian people you fukwit its with everyone.. im close to my cousins cause theyre older than me and we act like we're brothers/sisters and as for my younger cousins well.. i love my family thasts why i go out with them, man i go clubbing with my cousins alot of people do.. so do australians and other cultures you know. dont label people.. your cousins are like your bestfriends youve just known them longer.

Nothings wrong with at all, i think its good that people stay in touch with their cousins. its just i always here people mentioning their cousins in a lot of the threads, im just simply curious why people are close with their cousins and im not. im wondering if its got to do with my background or lack thereof that im not close to them/.

ok im italian, but im close with am my cousins, but im like best friends with the ones my ages. i recon ppl r close with their cousins because they know they will never leave u out, rat u out, or stab you in the back because your family. yea its more european people who are like that. and the reason why is because european people are more family orientated.

hmm just because they are your cousins dont mean their not going to rat you out or screw you over. my cousin has done that to me numerously times. but yeah ive grown up with my cousins, ive been through so much with them and its just natural to be mates with them, and always want to spend time with them.

I always see my cousins (I have 17) they are my family but most well the older ones are also friends (Some of the lil ones are such trouble makers But I love them)..... Maybe you just have a weird family that isn’t close.....

Arrgh i love all my cousins every single 1 of my 28 first cousins lol the youngest is 14 and then ME :) and the oldest is 29! and i see them all pretty much every week lol ive got alot of 2nd cousins that im close with too like very close ( my parents cousins) and yeah FAMILY IS THE BEST THIGN IN THE WORLD :)

I don't have many cousins probably only around 5 altogether from both families and it's kinda hard being close with my cousins because I'm the oldest and the rest are WAY younger than me...but i reckon in a way it's much better being the older cousin as two of my younger cousins look up to me alot as I can take them out and help them in homework etc

Most of my cousins live in Italy and I've never had the chance to meet them as for my cousins who live over here their pretty much all younger than me, but we still all have a good relationship.

I have many cousins in Europe, but i have heapppss in Melbourne, all ranging from 2-27, and there are soo many in the 2-5 region, all cuties, dunno how they turned out as cute as they are, neways i love some of my cousins as much as my mom and my brother, they are as good as anyone :)

I've only got my aussie side of my family in australia, the rest are in greece. But i have one cousin who's the same age as me, and one who is a bit older, the rest are all younger. I sometimes see them when i go out, and i get along with them really well, but we're not that close. Personally i find it a bit weird being real close to family, cos if you have a fight or something it can fuk sh*t up.

I dont kno y u would think its just greeks, italians and lebanese who are close to their cousins. I am half dutch half english and i am close with cousins from both sides esp when i was younger because there were a few of us around the same age and my cousins are of all different i have 5 half ugandan (a country in africa), 1 half fijian, 2 half burkino fasan(another country in africa) 4 aussie and 2 half dutch and they are all my 1st cousins. I am close with most of them even tho some of them now live in uganda, sydney and albury. I couldnt imagine life any other way.

You don't need to tell these people the reason why u hang out with ur cousin's. There is no problem with hanging out with your cousin/s. it's your fkn family. it's your choice. Anybet if you did have siblings, you would still hang out with your cousins.

I have a hell of a lot of cousins, and I think 'whats with people and their cousins' is that they are blood relatives, but not immediate family. Therefore to me cousins are a bit like brothers and sisters, but also friends...that in between thing! You've grown up with them your whole life, and the saying 'blood is thicker than water' is true. One of my cousins, the closest in age to me, is one of my best friends. You know they are always going to be there, and you'll always have their friendship no matter what because you're family, and that can never change.

also cousins are like a untapped resource...i have alot of male cousins who are mint, and introduce me 2 there mint friends!!! hehe i do the same 2 them!!!! they can get me heaps of stolen stuff that they like 2 call "tax free" lol and know where the good as parties are!!!

its not just with italians and lebos. my cousin is one of my best friends not cause she's my only friend but because she's only a month older than me and we go to the same school and we have alot in common. cousin's are mad, they have hot friends too
