most of it is just pop - designed to rake the money in… and its written like crap, simple loops, absolutely no depth to the tracks. takes about 30 seconds to break the track down into its elements - whereas good tracks have such a depth you have to listen carefully over and over again to begin to get an idea how complex it is

also quite alot of the commercial stuff, dj sammy, groove coverage, scooter etc don't even write the songs… they jsut rip others trakcs and chuck a "dance" tune on it
