First of all big thanks to my mum for sending me to school with a note that said I had a “special appointment” and had to leave early. So I left at 1.20, went home, got all my **** together and got out the door at about 2.50, to arrive at the back of Angel at 4.30 to be met by Andrew Morello & Occa. Andrew then tells me the news I love to hear and we have been hearing for the past 4 Angels “We’ve Sold Out!” which put this big smile across my face for a long time to come.
I jumped inside and said hey to Merx, Shannon and a few others and before long it was time to start. Merx started off the night for the first hour with some RnB and I believe it was Alex who just about summed it up when he said “Fuck the room’s already full!” which it was indeed, and continuing to increase in size by the minute. Then I see him, walking through the club like a pimp who owns the joint, funk in his step and winning in his smile… ROB M!!!!!!!!! He called me Beautiful, I’m so bashful when it comes to this man! …
Soon enough Ines, Jocelyn and Cass came inside so I had some friendly company, but sadly Sarah & Candy who were supposed to join us too missed out because the tickets had sold out. But what is the lesson learnt from this boys and girls? BUY YOUR TICKETS AND BUY THEM AS SOON AS YOU CAN TO AVOID THE DISAPPOINTMENT!
It was Rob M Vs. Theo for awhile in the main room rockin it with some house tunes, beginning with Holly James – Touch It (Lee Cabrera Remix), which, for those who remember the good ol’ days, a house bootleg of Monifah – Touch It. Then I had the upmost pleasure of meeting another one of my fans, a very very beautiful girl by the name of Bianca. Hello to you again Bianca and I hope you heard and enjoyed our set.
HS was mixing up a storm to the packed side room and I’ll tell you something, this boy’s gonna be massive! Not only a top RnB DJ, but also a top bloke in general. But soon enough it was 7.30 and it was time for the much anticipated event, Wasz Vs. TKO for two hours of non-stop insanity! Ask anyone who witnessed this event, it was absolutely insane! We started off hard as hell, dropping tunes like Down Low, French Kiss, Follow Me, Hallucination Generation and Rock Ya. To my pleasure, and I’m sure Theo’s too, the room was packed out for the entirety of that set, but then we had to play some RnB, but we still made it fun. Just dropping tunes left, right and centre, Yeah, Turn Me On, Hot In Herre, Make good love, we even dropped some Retro and old school like It’s My Life, Survivor and because I felt the extreme need, I played Fresh Prince – Boom! Shake the Room…
But then the time came to hand over the reigns to Justin to clock off the night and retire back to the main room where Erol was playing some more harder edged tunes then what he usually does. Walking back into the mainroom, I was met by my ever smiling rainbow Shanti, to which I then embraced in my arms and was content …
I went back to where the girls were sitting and we were soon joined by Josie as Erol finished his set and Merx jumped on for the last half hour playing nothing but party hits and retro tunes …
I had soooooo much fun tonight! Not one problem… Not one Mistake… Beautiful and Friendly crowd and just a top night in general. I’m giving you a 10 out of 10 and two thumbs up… Although I do have one question to ask…
