After another god damn SAC (this one was actually a practice one, but it still sucks), I popped my ass on a train, after bumping into Julez at the station and made my way to Flinders. After a short wait I met up with Erryn, we got on a train and went to meet my Dad who then drove us to One Bar.
Just before going inside we saw the massive man himself, Alex (Unga on MU). Ladies this must be said, this man is a buff sex machine on legs, get your piece before he gets going! We then entered to the club to the sounds of MerX kickin it on the decks and the place was already bouncing. Tash & Shannon were on the stairs giving out weird ass chuppa chups and those mint things that look like sheets of acid, which was nice .
Rob M then calls me and makes me come outside and be his personal slave to carry his record case and headphones inside while he whipped me and screamed “Mush! Mush!” ;)… You know I love you Rob… Then I bumped into Alissa (Mz_Croatia) and got my hugs!! YAY!! Well MerX played for a bit longer, then on came Rob M and the place was starting to fill quite nicely. Andrew then comes up to me and says I gotta start early, so at 6.30pm I started the side room up with RnB and about 15 minutes later the side room was packed and it was hotter then the sun on a power trip. Then I went into house and sadly as Peter Sofo said on the Ikonboard MU Forums, at the time before time, no one has any respect, just about everyone left. But luckily for me after dropping a few dance bombs the crowd returned and once again the room was full.
I then took about a 30 min break and gave Justin A.K.A. DJ X-centrik a turn to blast the speakers with some Hard NRG. I wandered into the main room to have my ears blessed with the technical and mixing ability that is part of the driving force behind J Wess, DJ Anthony D. This man has definitely mastered the art of DJing and a pioneer in the Melbourne RnB scene.
Just when I was beginning to relax I realised that I had to go back and start DJing again in the side room, I played a bit more RnB, then into some house, but no one was seeming to respect or want to dance to either of them. So I pulled out Beam Vs. Cyrus – Can’t Touch This, started it from the break down with the original tune just going, cut out of the house and went into that. About 3 seconds later there was a group on the floor and a few minutes later the room was bouncing once again. So bangin it was until 9.30 when MerX came and told me to play RnB again, so that’s what I did . Then I gave Justin another turn before coming back to finish off with Run DMC – It’s Like That.
At this stage Josie, Rob & Timmy actually decide to show up and grace us with their presence!! WOW!! And to clock off a good night, again MerX kicked out some more banging tunes including one of the most golden tunes, You Belong To Me, who, correct me if I’m wrong, was created by trance allstars JX.
Best god damn Angel so far and with the crowds reaction it’s going to be like this again and for many Angels to come. 10 out of 10… I couldn’t find a problem with the night!
And I’d also just like to wish Andrew Morello (for last Monday) and Hass (For now today) very happy birthdays from everyone here at Melbourne Underage.
