Proposed Rave comp @ qbh

Alright, i decided to bring this up mainly because people are all talking about a rave comp but also because QBH is coming up in April and it might be able to be organized for then.

This goes out to the powers of QBH (MICK and the crew).

If you have anything to add or any support because it would be pointless to have a comp and no one go in it, then feel free and post away people!

LOL... Metro had dance comps in January... why didnt ppl just enter that...? they could of raved... there was 2 guys in the finals that raved... and they were soo awesome...

Alright heres whats happening:

I talked to Mick at the Qbh meeting today about the idear of having a rave comp and he was all for it. Basically he told me that i should get togather the idears of what we want to do for the comp ei: How it will be run, how it will be promoter and things like that.

I have some idears but im looking for people views on this and ANY idears about the running of it, how to enter it, how to judge it ( by the crowd screaming for the person, a panel of judges somthing like that?? )
what should the winner get??

Entering: To enter i rekon you should register your name at the start of the night at the event..so get there when it starts and register your name at the stage u know...then an hour later say (so everyone can enter)...the comp starts...

Running It: Running it is probably the hardest thing to do but here's what i think. They dedicate say 20-30 mins for the comp and people who registered basically GO FOR THERE LIFE in the circles and try to impress!! I think maybe if the crowd decided they would only go for their friends so maybe not a good idea...i think its an orite way to judge but not da best...i think a panel of judges walking around the floor would be madness haha...

Prize: Welll i dunno bout prizes...its what the venue or hooeva is willing to give away...sorry but yeh i have no clue..sumfin good though!!! :D :D

They are just my ideas...someone else's may be better so yeh... :?

Hmmz good idear for the sign up bkclubba, It will have to be done on stage beacuse people cant see in the circles ( we want it to be liek a main event thing ) and im going to have to tend for the corwd to decided, mainly becuase i saw it at metro done that way but also because there will be a huge crowd and it give the people the power ( no matter how many people you know the crowd over over 2000 will choose fairly because 20 people cant make as much noise as everyone will do when they like see the best )

Guys things have changed, Djmikeyc has told me about the modelling and dance comp that will be happening so this might be some way included in that.

i am so for it.. the only thing is i know being a girl i wont be as good as the guys- i would just do it for the fun of it i guess.
i would say do it on stage that way people can see from the balconys not just the ground... i personally dont like havin lil circles of people. For the winner u should make a voucher for a pair of PHAT PANTS!!:P ohhh i would so bust my balls to win that!!

Wog dance = a mixture of raveing with jumping around and nto as much had movment more punching the air and and doing the thing where you rold your hands in the circle motion.

hey,

alright people... i can organise this rave comp if you would like. i'll have people beside stage for first 2 hours of the night for everyone to sign up and enter the comp.
if all goes to plan, i will get some prizes - i.e like PHAT pants of the person's choice from shops ;);) and some other nice raving toys.
i will also be a judge for this, as i do have some sort of knowledge in this area, and wasz(aka josh) will also be one of the judges.

Yeah i found out about the model & dance thing that they are haveing after i brought the idear up with mick from qbh, so i think we werent goiing to do it and just help with the model & dance comp.

But Rob if you are going to organise it then it would be great and ill help you out with that.

the real dancers cant get a good amount of space to move so they will be the once who miss out do it on the stage or sumthin, id go in and win it but meh overagenow
