Hello everyone...
If you do or do not know.. I was doing a dj course with Pro light and sound for the past 6 weeks..
well.. well.. well.. heheh Guess who is a Dj now.. I started not knowing the slightest thing about any of it.. and at the first lesson I was too scared to even touch the tables.. well after that lesson I came home very excited hehe and knowing how to do a radio mix.. and also what all the buttons were..
at the next lesson I lernt how to do beat mixing (which took me a while to get a hold of..) and we lernt the concepts of beat mixing and also we talked about club ethics and how you can get gigs and all that stuff..
WoOT!! At the next one we had a special Guest teacher.. PHIL G!!.. Who told us all about him and his experiences of djing.. and also went through beat mixing with us.. *and he herd me beat mix.. :oops: **Embarrasment** heheh
Then over the next 2 weeks we had the courtisy of being taught by Dj Aris and DJ FLUKE!! (and OMG What can I say.. FARK.. I was mesmerised by his ability.. WOoo I am still Like WOAH!!) He took us through scratching, Juggling and RnB beat Mixing (haha the hardest thing I have ever I had to do.. I was soo Lost With it.. and Now I can say YES i succesfully beat mixed Like I love you - Justin timberlake with Milkshake - Kelis.. Then WooT!! I Juggled.. 4 beats then did 2 beats.. heheh (Shines badge *Josh Stylez)... and scratching WiCCa WooOo.. LmAo..
Then came the last lesson :cry: Where we got an insite on making your very Own demo.. on the computer.. using different programs.. and we were shown exactly what to do with that.. and hehe I was In a little remix *Go Devil Josie :P*.. after that We got an Insite On How the Lighting all works.. and WoaH!! I am Still like.. tripping at how cool that was.. Then we went on to doing the last thing ever for the dj course.. a 5min little set.. hehehe assesed by Paul.. and I went first BTW.. hehe
after all that I am soo overwelmed by all of this.. from being just a ditzy Little girl who had no idea about djing and being tottally scared of even laying a finger on a mixer or putting on a cd or vinyl.. I am Soo Excited to announce I am A DJ!!!
i would never ever imagine myself being able to do this stuff.. I remeber how I used to just watch the Djs and be Like.. woah I could never do that.. and how it looked all soo Complicated.. to getting to where I am now..
heheh now it;s time for heaps and heaps of practise (remeber Practise makes a perfect bexta wanna be.. :P)
ARrRrrRRGGGHHHHH!!!!! *Josie screams and dances around like i did when i left the last class..*8 hehe My dad told me to shut up.. I was screaming for half an hour.. Soo People Look out for Dj Josie.. comming up very soon with my first set.. hehehe
but I would Like to thank Prolight and sound for giving me this opportunity
and also Phil g, dj aris, dj Fluke and most of all Paul B.. This never would have happen with out him.. so OMG Thank You SOO MUCH!!
Btw people if you are interested.. I reckon you should give prolight and sound a call and enrol yourself in the course.. because Look at Me.. I had No Idea What the hell anything was.. and Now.. hehe .. because really it is an experience you'll never forget.. :wink:
